PAUL
DUPRÉ LAFON

1900-1971

Paul Dupré-Lafon is a French architect and decorator. His style borrows the pure lines of functionalism, intermingled with the art deco spirit that he had embraced in the 30s, influenced then by the austere and bourgeois manner of Jules Leleu. The presence of each element is justified by a technical requirement, but behind an apparent simplicity, Dupré-Lafon’s furniture hides a great refinement, especially in the choice and workmanship of materials. He was particularly attached to noble and natural materials.
