LADISLAS
KIJNO

1921 - 2012

Ladislas Kijno was a Polish-born, naturalized French painter.

Considered one of the major artists of the 20th century and one of the masters of abstraction, a specialist in the technique of crumpling and spraying on canvas, he was a close friend of Louis Aragon and Francis Ponge, two encounters that influenced his work, which is often closely linked to poetry.
