JEAN
MIOTTE

1926 - 2016

Close to lyrical abstraction, Jean Miotte is a French painter known for his formal research influenced by the movement. His monochromatic style evolved over time to tend towards a more descriptive graphic style and an enlargement of space by accentuating contrasts to finally return to a great sobriety marked by a rhythmic interference of colors or planes where white dominates.
