Philippe Hiquily - Exposed in Dumas Limbach fine art gallery

PHILIPPE
HIQUILY

1925 - 2013

Metal sculptor since the year 1950, Philippe Hiquily is a french artist reknown to be the percursor of the cinetic art trhough his mobile sculptures. His artwork is filled with an obvious research of balance and is marked by an omnipresent erotism. The artist mainly works from salvaged material to create his sculpture and, even though Philippe Hiquily always refused to tie up with any specific art movement, his creations seems to touch surrealism, and his use of scrap material moves him closer to New Realism.
